Product Description

The XQV LD heading machine is a specialized hydraulic equipment for prestressed concrete components. It is used to upset the ends of steel bars or wires, forming upset heads that allow prestressing tendons to be anchored through anchor plates. Based on cold upsetting forming technology, the machine applies instantaneous high pressure to the bar ends through hydraulic transmission, causing local plastic deformation and upsetting. The built‑in mold ensures regular shape of the upset heads, meeting stringent anchoring requirements. Without heating, the process relies entirely on plastic deformation, avoiding any adverse effect on the mechanical properties of the steel.

Applications

The prestressed heading machine is widely used in pre‑tensioned and post‑tensioned construction projects. Key applications include:

  • Bridge & Building Construction: Anchoring prestressing tendons in precast components (crane beams, roof trusses, floor slabs) and small to medium‑span bridges (simply supported or continuous beams).
  • Geotechnical Engineering: Upsetting ends of rock bolts / cables for slope support, tunnel reinforcement and coal mine roadway support.
  • Water Conservancy & Other Fields: Anchoring precast components such as dams and aqueducts, as well as anchoring steel bars in railway sleepers to enhance fatigue resistance.
